Cookies
Last updated . This page lists every cookie this website sets, what each one does, and how long it lasts. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
Necessary cookies
These make the site work and are set without asking, because the site cannot do its job without them. None of them track you across other websites.
| Cookie | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
hms_consent | Remembers your answer to the cookie question, and when you gave it, so we do not ask again and can show that we asked. Shared with the Homeschool Studio app so it does not ask you a second time. | 1 year |
welcome | Remembers the ambassador whose link brought you here, so they are credited when you subscribe. The first link you arrive with keeps the credit. | 1 year |
hms_currency | Remembers the currency you chose on the pricing page. | 1 year |
hs_locale | Remembers the language you chose, so you get it again next time. | 1 year |
hms_country | The country our network detected, used to show prices in a sensible currency and language on your first visit. | Session |
Analytics and advertising cookies
These are set only if you accept them. If you decline, they are never written, and the tags that would set them are told not to store anything about you.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Counts visits and tells us which pages are useful, so we can improve them. | 2 years |
_gcl_au | Google Ads | Tells us whether an advert led to someone signing up. | 90 days |
_fbp | Meta | Tells us whether an advert on Facebook or Instagram led to someone signing up. | 90 days |
Changing your mind
Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page to accept or decline at any time. Changing your answer takes effect immediately. Declining after having accepted does not undo what was already collected, but it stops anything further.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as declining the analytics and advertising cookies, and we do not ask you again unless you tell us otherwise.
Who receives what
The companies behind the optional cookies, and everyone else who processes data for us, are listed on our sub-processors page.
