Refunds & Cancellation
Try Homeschool Studio free for 30 days before paying. You can cancel whenever you like.
Effective .
Your free trial
Every account starts with a 30-day free trial. We don't ask for a card to begin, and nothing is charged during the trial. If Homeschool Studio isn't right for you, simply don't continue – you will never be charged.
Paying
If you choose to continue after your trial, your subscription is billed to the payment method you provide at checkout. Your first charge after the trial is a part-month, prorated to the billing date; from then on it's the standard monthly (or annual) rate.
Canceling
Canceling is easy from your account settings, or on our cancellation page without signing in. Your access continues to the end of the period you've already paid for, or for 30 days, whichever comes first, and anything you've paid for beyond that is refunded. On a monthly plan that just means you keep the rest of the month. On an annual plan it means you don't have to wait for the year to run out. After that, the account moves to a read-only state, so your data stays viewable while you decide what's next. We keep an inactive account available for a period afterward, so you have time to download anything you'd like to keep before it's closed.
Canceling stops any future charges. To avoid the next charge, cancel before your renewal date.
Refunds
One rule covers both plans: when you cancel you keep access to the end of the period you've paid for, or for 30 days, whichever comes first, and anything you've paid for beyond that is refunded to the card you paid with. On a monthly plan there is nothing beyond it, so there is nothing to refund; the 30-day free trial is there so you can decide before you ever pay. On an annual plan the remaining months come back to you, calculated to the day. This does not affect your statutory rights, which are set out below.
There is one exception. If you change your mind within 14 days of your first payment, write to us and we will refund it. You do not have to give a reason.
Your cooling-off period (EU & UK)
EU and UK law gives consumers a 14-day "cooling-off" period to change their mind about an online purchase. Your 30-day free trial covers this – for a full month you have access to the complete product, with no card and no charges, and you can walk away at any moment with nothing to pay.
We also tell you clearly, before your trial starts, that it becomes a paid subscription after 30 days and exactly what it will cost. You're only charged after that free month, for a plan you chose to continue, with full view of the price.
Deleting your data
Cancelling your subscription isn't the same as deleting your data – a cancelled account goes read-only but stays available in case you come back. To have your personal data permanently erased, sign in and open Settings → Legal → Submit a Data Request, then choose deletion. We action erasure requests within 30 days.
If you own your account, you can also delete it instantly from Settings → Legal → Delete my family account – a 30-day grace period lets you undo an accidental deletion, after which all of your family's data is permanently erased. If you signed in with Facebook or Google, removing Homeschool Studio from that provider's connected-apps settings also revokes our access.
If you can't sign in to reach those settings, send us a request and we'll take it from there. We'll confirm who you are, then action the erasure the same way, within 30 days.
